Sharon Ourian
Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Sharon Ourian is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of CyberActive, Inc., an education technology company that has played a foundational role in the digitization of regulated learning across the United States. She launched the company while in law school, identifying early the inefficiencies in compliance-based education and introducing one of the first fully online traffic school programs approved in Los Angeles County at a time when all such instruction was delivered exclusively in physical classrooms.
This early innovation positioned Ourian at the forefront of a structural shift in how mandatory education is delivered. She not only brought traffic school online, but also contributed to shaping the operational and compliance frameworks that underpin modern online driver education and defensive driving programs. Under her leadership, CyberActive expanded into a multi-state platform delivering certification and training across traffic safety, driver education, real estate, OSHA, mortgage, and notary education—serving both direct consumers and institutional partners.
CyberActive operates a proprietary learning and content management system that supports high-volume, compliance-driven education at scale. Its platform is deployed through a network of consumer brands and white-label partnerships with courts, school districts, government agencies, and private organizations nationwide. The company's selection by the State of Indiana to deliver a statewide driver improvement program through a formal RFP process marked a significant milestone, reinforcing its credibility as a trusted public-sector technology provider.
In parallel with building CyberActive, Ourian developed deep operational expertise across multi-entity business environments. Through the Ourian Family Office, she oversees a diversified portfolio spanning commercial real estate, medical assets, and operating businesses. Her role includes directing capital allocation, financial strategy, debt structuring, and property-level execution across a complex, multi-asset platform.
This dual experience—building scalable technology systems while managing capital-intensive operations—led to the creation of MELK, an AI-driven platform designed to unify operational workflows with financial intelligence. Drawing on firsthand experience, Ourian identified a structural gap between property management systems and accounting infrastructure and architected MELK to bridge that divide, enabling real-time visibility, automation, and decision-making across portfolios.
In addition to her work in edtech and real estate, Ourian began her relationship with Intuit Inc as a customer, where she identified early the limitations of standalone accounting systems in managing complex, multi-entity businesses. Over a three-year period, she worked directly with cross-functional teams across AI, payments, time tracking, and Mailchimp to help align product workflows with the realities of operating integrated business portfolios. Through this hands-on collaboration, her businesses served as an early environment for testing and refining enterprise-level functionality, including the development of a dedicated payments gateway solution for CyberActive. Her work contributed to the evolution of the Intuit Enterprise Suite, helping shape a more unified, ERP-oriented system designed to support operational and financial integration at scale.
Across all of her ventures, Ourian's work is defined by a consistent focus on building systems that simplify complexity. She has architected platforms that unify operations, reduce friction across business functions, and enable scalable growth in highly regulated environments. Her ability to bridge technology, compliance, and real-world operations positions her as a strategic voice in the evolution of modern enterprise systems.
